Carpe Diem

April 29, 2022

I am blogging everyday (or nearly everyday) on The Daily Stoic.

Seize the day. I feel like seizing the day every day requires a lot of focus. If you listen to baseball players talk, they talk about focus. You can’t do it for every pitch and every play and every game. It’s just not possible. I think doing nothing can be okay and can be a way to refresh the mind. In fact meditation focuses on doing a whole lot of nothing.

Good And Evil? Look At Your Choices

April 28, 2022

I am blogging everyday (or nearly everyday) on The Daily Stoic.

Focus on my choices. There are times when I know that I need to make a choice but I don’t. I’m working on that. They’re not terrible choices but there can be a bit of regret.

I am blogging everyday (or nearly everyday) on The Daily Stoic.

Do good things. Not really much else to add to that one.

Righteousness Is Beautiful

April 26, 2022

I am blogging everyday (or nearly everyday) on The Daily Stoic.

This really hits home with how I’m acting these days. I feel more even-keeled and I’ve noticed others responding better to me than the past several months. It’s a good feeling. I interact with people who used to be where I am or take a much different approach. Looking at it from the outside it’s not a desirable state to be in which is motivation for not succumbing to that kind of thinking or choices.

You Are The Project

April 25, 2022

I am blogging everyday (or nearly everyday) on The Daily Stoic.

I like this stoic because if nothing else, it gives me purpose. I can focus on just improving myself and that’s it. This really helped with the desire to do something but not knowing what that something was or is. I believe because of a lack of something I’ve been able to focus on myself instead of simply following habits and impulses. I can really spend time digging into what those are and find what are my good habits and impulses and which ones are the bad one.
