Righteousness Is Beautiful

April 27, 2021

I am blogging everyday (or nearly everyday) on The Daily Stoic.

Being a good person is beautiful. That means being stoic in all action. It’s putting effort and value into the right things. The stoic talks about the genetic lottery. Those people with special face structure and features are considered beautiful. That’s only surface level beauty. Real beauty is in the decisions and actions a person takes. The movie Shallow Hal highlighted this when Hal gets a change in perspective. Visually he sees the value in people as their true beauty. This turns beautiful people into disgusting appearances and people with less than ideal features into beautiful people. Gwyneth Paltrow wore a fat suit for part of the movie. The rest she was her normal sweet self.
