Never Do Anything Out Of Habit

January 6, 2021

I am blogging everyday (or nearly everyday) on The Daily Stoic.

My role in security changes from day-to-day. Doing things the same way is ripe with problems. When I talk to other people and ask why they do things a certain way I cringe at the response, “we’ve always done it that way.” It’s not efficient, it’s not effective, it’s not secure, and it’s not creative. There are always new ways to do old things that make it better. I am constantly tweaking how I interact at work and my personal life. I always want to get better. I still have my bad habits. Those I am trying to work on. I’m trying to improve and disrupt.
