You Don't Own That

November 24, 2020

I am blogging everyday (or nearly everyday) on The Daily Stoic.

We own our lives and that’s it. The house, land, cars, toys, and other things are simply things that will break down and at some point be gone. It’s the same in video games. I learned this first in World of Warcraft. If you read the terms of service, the characters created and played are the ownership of Blizzard. They are not my characters. They are simply a vessel through which I have experiences. Servers shut down and games decommissioned. WoW is one of the longer lasting ones. At some point it will not against.
