Daily Stoic(s)

August 27, 2021

I am blogging everyday (or nearly everyday) on The Daily Stoic.

Wednesday - The Philosopher’s School Is A Hospital

Philosophy asks some real hard questions. Practicing it can also mean doing things that I don’t want to do. I’ve felt that when meditating. Most times I’m not in a rush. There are other times where I want to rush through meditation so I can go do the thing. This daily stoic is another example. I haven’t done a very good job this week with distracts, stress, and exhaustion.

Yesterday - First, A Hard Winter Training

I must train even when it’s inconvenient. For me that’s doing the daily stoic while traveling or even working out. I had a break through on my most recent trip with working out. I didn’t do the daily stoic however.

Today - How Can You Know Whether You’ve Never Been Tested!

Right now work is plentiful, stressful, difficult, and exhausting. I’m succumbing to some of the effects of that. I think I need to re-frame into an idea that this is a tough moment in my life. I will get through this and I will be better for it.
